Now that Beyoncé‘s Renaissance World Tour is over and Taylor Swift is taking a breather (if you call possibly dating the NFL’s biggest star and opening a gigantic concert film a breather) before she goes overseas in February for the next leg of her own Eras Tour, the women behind the most enviable (not to mention profitable) tours of the summer can hang out. You know, just chill. Chat, superstar to superstar. Touch each other’s Grammys and hearts. A nice social visit, just them, their fame, and masses of screaming Swifties.
Beyoncé, whose own concert film hits theaters in December, attended the Wednesday night premiere of Swift’s concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, at the Grove in Los Angeles. Swift shared a video of herself and Bey on her Instagram, breathlessly freaking out that the performer in the caption.
“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence,” she wrote. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. 😇🙏”

Swift has been full of surprises this week, from the premiere of the film, which shut down Los Angeles’ famed outdoor mall for the first time in its 21-year history, to releasing the film to theaters a day earlier than planned, announcing the news with a caption reading, “look what you genuinely made me do.”
For her part, Beyoncé’s tour film, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, is set to open in theaters on December 1.
