Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have taken a literal mental health day in New York City recently, when they hosted their Archewell Foundation panel about parenthood and social media on World Mental Health Day October 10, but they followed up their NYC jaunt with some relaxation abroad.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly headed to the tiny Caribbean island of Canouan in St. Vincent and the Grenadines once their public duties wrapped up, with a local snapping a photo of the pair holding hands outside of a grocery store there last Friday. The island’s name translates to “Island of the Turtles.”
An unnamed source told the Daily Mail that the two “just looked very happy to be having a holiday together” as they strolled hand in hand down the streets. Their children, 4-year-old Archie and 2-year-old Lilibet, were not spotted with them on the getaway.
Markle wore a floppy hat and cream-colored maxi dress in the photos, while Harry wore a ball cap, t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops. The sole of a prince: revealed.
This isn’t the first sunny getaway the pair have tacked onto a business trip recently: After the Invictus Games in Germany in September, the Sussexes reportedly popped over to Portugal for a few days, where they apparently ran into newly married superhero Chris Evans and his wife, Alba Baptista.
